Terms of Use

The terms, in plain language.

By using movetheocean.com you agree to these terms. They exist to keep expectations clear, which is the same reason the rest of this site exists.

Effective June 11, 2026. Move the Ocean, Grand Rapids, Michigan.

01

What this site is

This site describes a strategic AI advisory practice and offers general information about how that practice works. Nothing on the site, including the Drift Assessment and any read it produces, is professional, legal, financial, or investment advice. It's orientation, written to help you think clearly about your own situation.

Actual advisory engagements are governed by separate written agreements signed by both parties. Nothing on this site creates a client relationship.

02

The Drift Assessment

The assessment produces a pattern read based on your answers, and the optional emailed version is generated in part by an AI model. It reflects the information you provided and general patterns we see in businesses at this scale. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a diagnosis of your business, and decisions you make based on it are yours.

03

Ownership of content

The content of this site, including its copy, design, frameworks, and the names of its engagements, belongs to Move the Ocean. You're welcome to quote it with attribution. Don't republish it wholesale or pass it off as your own.

04

Acceptable use

Use the site the way it's intended to be used. Don't attempt to disrupt it, probe it for vulnerabilities, scrape it at volume, or abuse the assessment's processing endpoint. That endpoint exists to serve assessment respondents, and we may restrict access that doesn't fit that purpose.

05

No warranties

The site is provided as is. We work to keep it accurate and available, and we don't guarantee either. Pricing and engagement descriptions on the site are current as of their posting and may change. The terms that bind an actual engagement are the ones in its signed agreement.

06

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Move the Ocean is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. If you're evaluating a real engagement, the place for liability terms is the engagement agreement, where they're negotiated properly.

07

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. If we change them, the effective date above moves and the current version is always the one posted here.
