Privacy Policy
What we collect, and what we don't.
The short version: this site collects almost nothing. No advertising pixels, no cookies set by us, no cross-site tracking, and the only analytics is a cookieless page-view counter. The only personal information we ever hold is what you choose to hand us, and we use it for exactly one purpose, responding to you.
Effective June 11, 2026. Move the Ocean, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
01
Information you give us
If you email us at hello@movetheocean.com, we have your email address and whatever you wrote. That's it.
If you take the Drift Assessment, your four answers are processed in your browser to produce your read. Nothing leaves your device unless you choose the optional final step, requesting an industry-specific read by email. If you do, your name, work email, industry, and assessment answers are sent to our server so we can generate and deliver that read.
02
How assessment responses are processed
When you request an emailed read, your answers and industry are sent to Anthropic, the AI provider whose model writes the industry-specific paragraph. Anthropic processes this data as a service provider under its commercial API terms and does not use it to train models. We send the minimum needed to generate the read.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone else. No marketing lists, no data brokers, no third-party advertising.
03
How we use your email
If you give us your email through the assessment, we use it to send you your read and, occasionally, to follow up about the practice. You can ask us to stop at any time, and we will. We don't run automated drip campaigns and we don't add you to newsletters you didn't ask for.
04
Hosting and server logs
This site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like nearly every host, Cloudflare keeps standard operational logs, things like IP addresses and request times, to run and secure the service. We don't use those logs to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare's own privacy practices are described at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It is cookieless, does not fingerprint your device, and does not track you across sites. It tells us how many people visited, not who they were.
Fonts are served by Google Fonts and one animation library is served by jsDelivr. Your browser requests those files directly from their servers, which is a standard web practice and means those services see the request the way any web server sees one.
05
Your choices
Want to know what we have about you, want it corrected, or want it deleted? Email hello@movetheocean.com and we'll handle it. Since we collect so little, this is usually a short conversation.
06
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, this page changes with them and the effective date above moves. We won't quietly start collecting things this policy says we don't.
